SCMT Spring Musical: The Wizard of Oz
Ages 6-10
Our SCMT Jr. program will be doing a Youth Version of The Wizard of Oz perfect for this beginner age group.
Rehearsals will start in January 2024
SCMT Jr casting/auditions are much less intense than SCMT. Our SCMT Jr. casting format is done in a casual "getting to know you" environment where the directors take a few weeks to get to know the students. Then we will place them in the roles we best see fit.
SIGN-UP for Either of our Two Sections:
Monday evenings 5:00-6:00pm
or
Thursday afternoons 3:45-4:45pm
Each cast will meet weekly for 60 minutes to learn and rehearse their show. Rehearsals and Performances will take place at E-Free Church.
Performance Dates: May 2024
Ages 8-10
Our SCMT program will be doing The Wizard of Oz Youth Edition combined with the 11-16 year olds. This program is for 8-10 year olds who have done our SCMT Jr. program first, or have already done a year of SCMT. If you have an 8-10 year old who is new to us, we encourage you to enroll in SCMT Jr. first!
Audition Prep Sessions (students are strongly encouraged to attend):
Option 1: Tuesdays 5:15-6:45pm
(November 28 & December 5)
Option 2: Wednesdays 4:30-6:00pm
(November 29 & December 6)
SIGN-UP for an Audition time-slot on December 5th, 6th, 12th or 13th. You will receive this sign-up link once you register.
Call-Backs (if needed) will occur Tuesday evening, December 19th between 5:15pm and 6:45pm.
What to Expect at Auditions? Your child will learn everything they need to know at our audition prep sessions on November 28/29th & December 5/6th.
Auditions are NOT REQUIRED unless your child would like a role with a solo or a speaking line.
There will be a Tuesday Cast and a Wednesday Cast for the Wizard of Oz. Each cast will rehearse and perform separately. Your child does not need to be available both Tuesday & Wednesday.
Rehearsals will begin January 9th & 10th, 2024.
